Club Fitting

It’s not just a fitting.
It’s a performance experience.

A club fitting at Sir Bob Charles Golf Centre is more than choosing new equipment. It is a fully personalised performance experience, built around your swing, your ball flight, your goals and the way you play.

Every fitting is delivered by a qualified golf professional and member of the Professional Golfers’ Association of New Zealand, bringing a deep understanding of swing mechanics, ball flight and performance optimisation to the session.

Using Trackman technology, brand-specific fitting systems and real ball flight, our team tests, measures and refines every detail – from head and shaft combinations through to loft, lie, launch, spin, dispersion and set composition.

No brand bias. Just the right clubs for your game.

What to Expect

Here's how a fitting works.

Every fitting starts with the player, not the product.

Your fitter will take the time to understand your current setup, your ball flight tendencies, where performance can be improved and what you want to get out of your equipment.

From there, we test the right combinations across heads, shafts, lofts, lies andspecifications to find what performs best or your game.

What we'll cover:

●
Understand your current game, goals and equipment
●
Benchmark your existing clubs
●
Analyse your ball flight and delivery using Trackman data
●
Test multiple club, head and shaft combinations
●
Compare launch, spin, carry, total distance and dispersion
●
Recommend the setup that delivers the best performance outcome
●
Talk you through the why behind the recommendation

You will not be rushed through a product selection. You will be guided through a performance process, giving you clarity, confidence, and a clear recommendation.

club fitting benefits

Brand-neutral.
Performance-led.

We are deliberately not tied to one manufacturer.

Here at the Sir Bob Charles Golf Centre we fit across the game’s most trusted names, which means your recommendation is based on performance, not brand alignment.

You may need one brand through the bag, or you may perform better with a blended setup across different brands, models or club categories. That could mean one brand for your driver, another for your irons, and a different wedge or putter setup.

It could also mean blending models within the same set – for example, shorter irons built for control and precision, with longer irons designed to improve launch, ball speed and distance gapping.

No forced sets. No favourites. If it performs, it earns its place.
